At Aitken College Performing Arts education is deeply integrated into the curriculum, providing students with weekly performing arts lessons from Prep to Year 6. Primary students participate in annual concerts to showcase their skills learnt throughout the year.

As they transition into Year 7, students delve deeper into the world of Music and Drama which allows them to explore various artistic expressions and develop their talents in these disciplines.

From Year 8 onwards, students can continue their journey in Performing Arts by choosing Music, Drama, and Media as elective subjects, fostering their passion, and honing their skills in their chosen areas of interest. Music, Theatre Studies and Media are offered as VCE subjects at the College.

In addition to the structured curriculum, Aitken College offers a vibrant co-curricular program that further enriches students' experiences in Performing Arts. This includes private instrumental tuition and participation in music ensembles, giving students the chance to collaborate and perform with their peers.

The highlight of the year is the annual College Musical, where students showcase their talents in acting, singing, and dancing. There are also two major drama performances for students to be involved in.

Throughout the year, students also have the opportunity to participate in concerts, providing them with valuable performance experience and allowing them to share their passion for the arts with the school community.

At Aitken College, Performing Arts education goes beyond the classroom, nurturing creativity, collaboration, and confidence in students as they explore the diverse and dynamic world of music, drama, and media.

Students can also enrol for Private Instrumental Lessons in Piano, Guitar, Voice, Strings and Drums.
