This year's Theatre Studies production tells the true story of Dolly Stainer, who lived her whole life in institutionalised care. In the 1905 Dolly Stainer was sent to live at Kew Cottages as a 5 year child as the state had nowhere else for her to go.
She lived over 80 years there, with her birds and the other residents and staff who became her friends and her only family.
The VCE Theatre Studies Production is the major assessment work for our Year 12 class. The students research, design, build and act in this performance and have been developing ideas for the since late last year. This week's performances are the culmination of their work.
